Family Dog

The Family Dog was the other concert promoter in San Francisco, headed by Chet Helms. Chet was a direct competitor of Bill Graham. Chet Helms held his dance concerts at the Avalon Ballroom. This poster series is quite large with posters numbered from 1-147. Both Chet Helms and Bill Graham employed many of the same artists to produce the posters and handbills. This series requires a bit more understanding and research, as many of the posters were reprinted without any designation that distinguishes them. We can sort this all out for you.
