AOR 2.243 - ORIGINAL POSTER ART - Haight Ashbury Festival - Wes Wilson - 1969 Ink on Poster Board - Golden Gate Park - Excellent

As the sixties neared their end, there was one last great celebration of the Haight Ashbury in the Golden Gate Panhandle over the weekend of May 25-25, 1969. Local musicians and bands played throughout the weekend with Country Joe and the Fish headlining on both days. Art, crafts, food, and good times in the sunshine!

Wes Wilson's art captures this historic moment so well with the central figure letting all the good vibes in. If you have ever spent a magical day in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, we think that you will agree that this piece captures that feeling so well. A great piece of history and one of Wes's lesser-known posters that we frankly think stands up there with his poster art for the Fillmore and Avalon. This piece is on poster board and measures 18" x 20" As you can see from the photos, this piece is in excellent condition.
