Here we have a Pop Art poster from Peter Max for auction. Printed in 1968, Peter Max titled the piece "2000 Light Years", in reference to the Rolling Stones song, "2000 Light Years From Home". Peter Max rose to worldwide fame mainly due to his work with the Beatles. Always brightly colored and eye-catching, his designs practically took over the world from the late 1960s to the early 1970s. Always with an upbeat feel to them, Peter Max's posters celebrated life with a genteel psychedelic twist that found resonance in Pop Culture then and finds it still today. This poster is rather large, measuring 24" x 35 1/2", approximately. The condition is Very Good, with a missing corner tip at the upper right, edge wear, handling, tape stains/pulls on the reverse, and handling. Take a trip back to the 60s with Peter Max!
