AUCTION - Love Sly & Family Stone - Round 1968 Postcard - Kaleidoscope Hollywood - Very Good

This quite scarce round postcard is from the fabled Hollywood, CA venue, Kaleidoscope. Their stage was round and so were their posters and postcards. These round pieces have a place all their own in rock poster collecting. Their shape makes them intrinsically more susceptible to handling mishaps, etc. Here we have a round postcard for an event the Kaleidoscope was putting on recurrently called "Hollywood's Purple Palace". Very cool design with the lightbulb and the split original kaleidoscope logo is a great touch as well. The reverse has the calendar of upcoming events and a bulk rate postage page stamp printed on it. The calendar lists, Love, the Byrds, Sly and the Family Stone, and Taj Mahal, just to name the top acts. June of 1968 was jumping at Hollywood's Purple Palace! This round Kaleidoscope postcard measures 7" in diameter, approximately. The piece is in Very Good condition, with staple holes at the top and bottom, edge wear, and some small surface scrapes, and the card is toned. This is the only small piece from the Kaleidoscope we have ever seen. Exceedingly scarce.
