AUCTION - Grateful Dead - Lesh & Kreutzmann Signed - 1966 Check - Near Mint

A Grateful Dead payroll check from the band's first official house at 710 Ashbury, dated December 8, 1966, and made out to Bill's wife, Brenda Kreutzmann, for fifty dollars. Seven days earlier, the Dead played a gig at the Matrix. Signed by Phil Lesh and Bill Kreutzmann on the front, and endorsed by Brenda Kreutzmann on the verso. Both signatures in brown ink. Check shows the usual cancellation marks.
The check measures 7.75" x 3" and is in Near Mint condition.
