AUCTION - Grateful Dead - John Moehring - 1967 Poster - Seattle Eagles Auditorium - Very Good

Here is an extremely rare Grateful Dead cardboard poster from the Pacific Northwest. Seattle's Eagles' Auditorium was the venue, with the Grateful Dead headlining. Magic Fern and Fat Jack rounded out the bill. Intense artwork is by John Moehring, who did quite a few Pacific Northwest posters. This one he did for Boyd Grafmyre, a promoter who put on a bunch of shows in the Seattle area. The show dates were September 8–9, 1967. Done in stark black-and-white on cardboard stock, this original Grateful Dead concert poster measures 14" x 22", approximately. This exceedingly rare poster is in Very Good condition, with pinholes in every corner, multiple instances of surface wear across the top, tape stains, three small rubber stamps on the reverse, a surface scratch on the upper lip of the face, and handling. This is only the second one we have ever seen, with at least twenty years between sightings. Beyond belief rare!
