AUCTION - "Freak Out" Initial Shock - Gut - 1968 Handbill - Ark Sausalito - Near Mint Minus

This Halloween weekend handbill is from the Ark in Sausalito, CA., in Marin County. The artwork is by the enigmatically named San Andreas Fault. The handbill says in big, bold letters "Freak Out with Initial Shock. Be Stoned!" Halloween in 1968 was on a Friday, so the Ark had Initial Shock play all weekend, with the added bonus that Friday and Saturday, November 1 and 2nd, went from 9 PM till dawn! That's nine hours for $1.25. Quite the value. Printed in black over heavy orange paper stock, the handbill measures 8 1/2" x 11, approximately. This piece is in magnificent Near Mint Minus condition, with just the nearest bit of handling. This is only the third one we have seen in over three decades.
