AUCTION - FD-14 - ZIg-Zag Man - "Genuine Counterfeit" - Mouse & Kelley - 1966 Poster - Avalon Ballroom - Excellent

This is Family Dog 14 "The Zig Zag Man," featuring Quicksilver Messenger Service and Big Brother and the Holding Co. with Janis Joplin. What makes this poster special is that shortly after the original poster was produced in late June 1966, someone made unauthorized copies and started selling them on Haight St. When Mouse & Kelley, the original artists, found out, they created a rubber stamp that said "Genuine Counterfeit" and stamped the unauthorized copies being sold in stores. There are only a few of these original posters that exist. They measure approximately 14" x 19 3/4". The condition is excellent, with some handling and bending. There is a corner tip missing from the top left.
