AUCTION - Buddy Guy - 1968 Poster - Boston Tea Party - Excellent

AUCTION - Buddy Guy - 1968 Poster - Boston Tea Party - Excellent

This original concert poster is from the Boston Tea Party in (where else?) Boston, MA. The venue had quite a run and left behind a wealth of artwork. Artist Bob Driscoll did this one (and a bunch of other Boston Tea Party posters as well) for Buddy Guy, with Quill opening up the show. Attention-grabbing but still quite spare, the little line drawing at the center is what draws us in. "Buddy Guy" in bright magenta jumps off the stiff paper stock. The show dates were September 12–14, 1968 and this is also the original address for the club. The piece measures 11 1/4" x 17 1/2". It is in Excellent condition, with a single pinhole in each corner, a horizontal bend just below "the Boston Tea Party", toning, edge wear, and handling.
