AUCTION - Baltimore Steam Packet - 1967 Poster - The Ark - Sausalito - Excellent

Offered for auction is a concert poster from the Ark in Sausalito, CA. This beloved venue was formerly a paddleboat and was converted into one of the coolest, hippest venues at the time. Probably the main reason for their popularity was the fact that they kept very late hours. Early too, for that matter. Bands like Moby Grape, Quicksilver, Grateful Dead, Charlatans, and more would either play impromptu sets after their SF gigs or they would show up for afternoon practice sessions! It doesn't get much cooler than that. The bands were Baltimore Steampacket, Freudian Slips, and Phoenix (Formally the Universal Parking Lot). The show dates were June 26–29 and February 2–5, 1967. Very cool psychedelic artwork with a Meso–American type bird in the center. This Ark concert poster measures 14 1/4" x 17 15/16". In Excellent condition, with a pinhole in every corner, light bending in the corners as well as handling. Still presents magnificently.
