AUCTION - AOR 4.137 - Grateful Dead - Oregon - 1982 Poster - Excellent

This is a poster for the Second Decadenal Field Trip, held at the Oregon Country Fair, near Veneta, Oregon on August 28, 1982. Both Veneta shows (1972 and 1982) were legendary events. This is, after all, Ken Kesey country, folks. This year featured not only the Grateful Dead but the avant-garde juggling family, the Flying Karamazov Brothers, along with an early appearance by Robert Cray. Lovely, whimsical artwork is uncredited. The piece is, however, featured in the Art of Rock book on page 376, plate 4.137. The poster measures 18" x 25 1/2", approximately. Printed on thin, textured stock, this Grateful Dead Field Trip poster is in excellent condition, with possible small rodent bites at the top, off-right center, two tears at the bottom center, and a little bit of edge wear and handling. Never put up. Presents fantastically as the colors remain bright. Quite a scarce piece from a legendary show.
