AUCTION - AOR 2.325 - Grateful Dead Quicksilver "Peace Pooh" - Mouse Signed - 1966 Poster - Mt. Tamalpais - Near Mint Minus

Here is one of Mouse & Kelley’s most popular of their posters. This is what is often called the Peace Pooh poster. A great illustration of Winnie the Pooh and his friend walking off into the sunset. Classic. Pictured in the Art of Rock book on page 228, plate 2.325 bottom right. This was an outdoor concert held on Mt. Tamalpais in Marin. The Grateful Dead, Quicksilver Messenger Service, and Bola Sete performed on October 8, 1966. The whimsical design is by Alton Kelley and Stanley Mouse. As a bonus, Stanley Mouse has tastefully signed this poster in pencil with the early pre-running Mouse signature. Very cool. This original poster with the Bindweed Press printers credit measures 14 1/8” X 19 3/16” and has wear in each corner and light handling. A real beauty.
