AUCTION - AOR 2.230 - Grope For Peace - 1967 Poster - Straight Theater - Excellent

Offered is the original poster created to promote the 2nd Annual Grope For Peace concert, presented at the Straight Theater in San Francisco on December 26, 1967. This bold, graphically powerful poster, printed in Christmas red & green, was designed by the late Rick Griffin and is pictured in The Art of Rock, plate 2.230 on page 202. The offered example measures approx. 19" x 27" and is in Excellent condition, with a slightly munched UL corner and a fairly innocuous, diagonal paper bend at the upper left. That said, the piece retains it's original bright colors and would frame beautifully.
