AUCTION - Timothy Leary - LSD Symposium - 1969 Poster - Very Good

We are pleased to offer this incredibly rare poster announcing the "Special Symposium: LSD, The Psychedelic Experience and Beyond," featuring Timothy Leary and Stan Grof. Published privately in Los Angeles in 1969, the symposium was scheduled for August 16–17 and sponsored by the U.C. Psychopharmacology Study Group, the Guy S. Millberry Union, and the Haight-Ashbury Medical Clinic.

Dr. Grof, a pioneer of transpersonal psychology, was among the first psychiatrists to explore the therapeutic potential of psychedelics. Notably, Grof’s history with LSD dates back to 1956—predating Leary’s own initial experiments. This piece is exceptionally scarce; it does not appear in Leary’s formal bibliography and is a discovery we have not encountered in our 35 years of specializing in this material. The poster is printed in black on orange stock (11" x 14") and remains in very good condition, with a vertical center crease, minor tears, and tape shadows on the verso.
