AUCTION - The Oracle - Mouse Human Be-In Cover - 1967 Underground Newspaper - Excellent
Here is an original issue of the San Francisco Oracle underground newspaper, Vol. 1 No. 5. It features Stanley Mouse's Human Be-In image on the front cover. The center spread is "Renaissance or Die" by Rick Griffin and Allen Ginsberg. Also included are: an ad for Mouse's poster store/studio, a Timothy Leary lecture ad, and an ad for Family Dog 44 with unique artwork. The issue contains poetry and stories, including a Hell's Angels bust. From January 1967. This is a very important artifact from the beginning of the Summer of Love. It measures 11 1/2" X 16 1/8" and has 24 pages.
Condition: Excellent. There is a light black line (ink) above the word "TRIBES." There are three small nicks on the back cover, and general handling. Presents well.
