AUCTION - Salvation - 1969 Poster - New York Village Gate - Very Good

Here's one you probably haven't seen before. This rare New York poster is for the late 60s San Francisco Bay Area band called Salvation. They are making their New York debut at the fabled Village Gate on Bleecker Street. Billed as "from the Golden Gate to the Village Gate". Great photo of the band sticking their heads (And more) out of their wildly psychedelic tour bus, complete with the band name on the side! Salvation played two successive weekends, from Halloween to November 9, 1969. At the bottom of the poster, we find an extra enticement. "Come one come all and get your free poster". The artwork is uncredited. Very nice purple and orange colors game. This piece measures 13 9/16" x 19 7/16". The poster is in Very Good condition, with three horizontal folds, a set of staple holes in each corner, along with a set at the bottom center, a light stain near the upper right of the photograph, minor edge wear, an edge tear at bottom right edge, plus paint and marker and reverse, which aren't visible from the front. The colors remain bright and strong. This is the only one we have ever seen.
