This original handbill is from Detroit, MI and was created for the celebration of the release of John Sinclair. He was sentenced to 10 years for possession of 2 joints but ended up serving 5 years. The party took place at the Grande Ballroom on January 24, 1972, and featured performances by Detroit w/ Mitch Ryder, Up, and the Motor City Mutants. The design was done by the great Gary Grimshaw. The handbill measures 8 1/2" x 11" and is in near mint condition, with a tiny brown stain on the reverse. It is sharp and well-preserved.
