AUCTION - Janis Joplin Big Brother - Benefit For Peace - 1967 Poster - UCSF - Near Mint
Here is an original first-printing concert poster from San Francisco, advertising a benefit show at Steninger Auditorium at UCSF (University of California, San Francisco) on Saturday evening, March 4, 1967. The headlining act is the Steve Miller Blues Band, with Big Brother and the Holding Company, featuring Janis Joplin, listed second on the bill. Both bands are illustrated in a distorted, psychedelic style. The poster, created by artist Krefting, is titled "Journey to the End of Night" in striking dark pink lettering. It measures 18 3/4" x 13 3/4" and is in amazing near-mint condition, with only a slight curl from being rolled.
