AUCTION - Grateful Dead - Danse Macabre - 1966 Handbill - Pauley Ballroom, Berkeley - Excellent
AUCTION - Grateful Dead - Danse Macabre - 1966 Handbill - Pauley Ballroom, Berkeley - Excellent
This is a rare and original concert handbill for the Grateful Dead, dated December 2, 1966. The concert took place at the Pauley Ballroom in Berkeley, California, with Country Joe & the Fish as the opening act. This event marks one of the earliest performances of the band, which was still in its first year as the "Grateful Dead." The handbill was created by artist Ruth Garbel.
This handbill is in excellent condition with handling and multiple bends, the longest in the bottom right, a tiny bend bottom left and a ding in the top center. It still presents well. The original handbill was printed on white paper and measures approximately 6⅞″ x 10″.
