AUCTION - Garage/Psych - Standells 13th Floor Elevators - 1967 Handbill - Rollarena San Leandro - Near Mint Minus

Here we have up for auction a trippy handbill from a super cool East Bay venue. The Rollarena was in San Leandro, California. They hosted the show put on by impresario Bill Quarry. Billed as "Bill Quarry's Teens and Twenties" (TNT). Held on September 16, 1967, this swell dance concert featured garage band legends, the Standells, with the Day Trippers and Broken Glass opening up. The 13th Floor Elevators are also listed as an up-and-coming event. Playfully psychedelic artwork is by Don Ryder, who did a bunch of wonderful Rollarena posters. Ryder added lots of little bits to the margins and elsewhere, making for a delightfully engaging handbill. The piece measures 8 1/2" x 11" and is in glorious Near Mint Minus condition, with the merest of corner dings.
