AUCTION - FD-2 - King Kong Memorial - Great Society - 1966 Handbill - Fillmore Auditorium - Excellent

We are thrilled to offer this super rare handbill from the Fillmore Auditorium. This is the King Kong Memorial Dance promoted by the Family Dog. Dated February 26, 1966, and this is only the 2nd official dance in the Family Dog series. The bands were the Great Society with Grace Slick, Quicksilver Messenger Service, the Grass Roots, and Big Brother & the Holding Co. This is so early that most of these didn't survive and so they have become painfully rare. Measures 5 1/2" X 8 1/2". In Excellent Condition with folds (now lays flat), stains, and wear in corners from stickum on the reverse. A handbill like this only turns up once in every 10 years or so.
