Offered here is an original FD-26 concert handbill for The Grateful Dead. Yes, this is the world-famous image associated with the Grateful Dead, but this is the very first time it was ever used. Printed along with the posters before the concert in early September 1966. Design by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley. Held at the Avalon Ballroom on September 16-17, 1966. Known as FD 26 in the Family Dog series. A must-have for any collection.

Measures approx. 8 1/2" X 11". Condition-Very Good-Has a 1 1/4" vertical tear on the bottom going through the ticket outlet area; corner bend in the upper left. Also has several brown stains on the white border. A great example of this iconic image.
