AUCTION - FD-17 - Jefferson Airplane - Mouse Signed - 1966 Poster - Avalon Ballroom - Excellent

We are proud to present this rare, early original concert poster from the iconic Family Dog series. Cataloged as FD-17, this piece commemorates the July 22–23, 1966, performances by Jefferson Airplane and The Great Society at the Avalon Ballroom—a pivotal moment in the San Francisco psychedelic scene. This show is especially significant as it features Grace Slick’s tenure with The Great Society, occurring just months before she transitioned to Jefferson Airplane.

The poster features a classic,  design by the legendary artistic duo Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley. This particular example is further distinguished by a pencil signature from Stanley Mouse. Measuring approximately 14 3/16" x 18 7/8", the poster is in excellent condition, exhibiting minor staple holes,  handling and corner bends, and some writing on the verso. These authentic characteristics do not detract from the piece’s visual impact, and it would frame beautifully in any collection of 1960s concert ephemera.
