AUCTION - FD-17 - Jefferson Airplane - Mouse Signed - 1966 Poster - Avalon Ballroom - Excellent

This is a very rare, early original concert poster from the Family Dog series. The bands featured are Jefferson Airplane and the Great Society, which included Grace Slick just a few months before she joined Jefferson Airplane. The design is fantastic, created by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley. Known as FD-17, this poster is dated July 22-23, 1966, and represents an early moment in the psychedelic scene in San Francisco, California. The venue is the Avalon Ballroom. Stanley Mouse has signed this poster in pencil.

It measures approximately 14 3/16" x 18 7/8". It's in excellent condition with pinholes, handling bends and edge wear. The background color looks almost blue from toning. The poster looks fantastic and would frame beautifully.
