AUCTION - Family Dog - Jerry Garcia - 1969 Handbill - Fillmore West - Near Mint

AUCTION - Family Dog - Jerry Garcia - 1969 Handbill - Fillmore West - Near Mint

Here is an exceedingly rare, original concert handbill for a benefit event for the Family Dog, held at the Fillmore West. The performers include Steve Miller, the four members of Big Brother after Janis Joplin left, who called themselves "Humble, Mumble, Fumble & Dumble." The New Riders of the Old Purple Sage also performed, and on rare occasions, Jerry Garcia would sit in. The band would add "Old" to their name as the only indicator, and this handbill is from one of those special shows. This is a rare, early Garcia item, dated November 19, 1969. No poster was made for this event.

Measures 5 1/4" X 8 1/2". Near Mint.
