AUCTION - Timothy Leary - Two Sided Light Show - Mid Sixties Handbill - Near Mint Minus

Here's one for all you light show fans. And psychedelic fans too, naturally. This is a two-sided broadside for  "Psychedelic Celebration #2". What this turned out to be was an extensive multimedia event put on by two light show pioneers, Jackie Cassen and Rudi Stern. These two were doing serious light show work back in the 1950s. So much is owed to them in terms of pushing boundaries, trying and establishing new techniques, etc. Real avant-garde people. Timothy Leary takes up the whole of the back of the broadside with a tribute to Cassen and Stern. The front side mostly serves as a rather large program, along with ample mention of great luminaries taking part in the event. The piece measures 8 1/2" X 14" and is in Near Mint Minus condition, with light handling at the top. Light show guys rarely get their full due. Makes this piece special.
