Offered for auction is a poster by the late Alton Kelley for the band The Dinosaurs. The poster promoted two shows in 1983. The first one is at the Keystone Palo Alto on January 22. The second was at the Inn of the Beginning in Cotati, California. Super cool dinosaur skeleton to go with a strong, two-color palette. This is number four in the series of Dinosaurs posters. The band consisted of members of various 1960s big-name rock bands. Hence the name. The artists who did the series all seem to have a love of their all-star dinosaur friends and may have felt like dinosaurs themselves! Proud dinosaurs, though, to be sure, and that love shows up in the posters. This Alton Kelley Dinosaurs poster measures 14" x 20 1/8", approximately. Kelley signed this poster in silver ink. The condition of the piece is excellent, with a single pinhole in each corner, and four tape pulls on the reverse. Gorgeous.
