AUCTION - Deep Purple - Gary Grimshaw - Grande Cleveland - 1968 Handbill - Near Mint

The Grande Ballroom started to explore new markets for hosting shows. In Cleveland, OH, they promoted Deep Purple for three nights from November 1-3, 1968, and also hosted a separate Halloween concert featuring Frost and Pack. The original handbill is part of the Grande Ballroom series with art by Carl Lundgren and Donnie Dope. It measures 4 1/8" x 7 5/8" and is in near-mint and superb condition. Both Cleveland Grande Ballroom cards are quite scarce, and the print runs must have been very small. This image was only produced in postcard form, and no poster is known to exist for this event.
