Offered is the original, printing of the poster created to promote a series of concerts, presented by Bill Graham at the Fillmore Auditorium and Winterland in San Francisco, from September 23- October 2, 1966. These seminal shows featured performances by Jefferson Airplane, Butterfield Blues Band, and Muddy Waters...what a line-up! This iconic poster, commonly known as "The Sound", was designed by Wes Wilson and is designated BG-29-OP-3 in the Eric King Guide. It is arguably one of Wes' most recognizable and desirable posters from the era. WesWilson has hand signed this poster in pencil. The offered example measures approx. 14" x 24 1/2" and is in Excellent condition with tape pulls on the reverse, minor edge wear and soft corner tips at the top.
