AUCTION - BG-26 - Grateful Dead - Wes Wilson - Fillmore Auditorium - 1966 Poster - Excellent

Offered here is a very rare, original concert poster for the Grateful Dead. This is the first time the Grateful Dead headlined the Fillmore. The date was September 4, 1966. There are two other concerts listed on this poster. Jefferson Airplane on September 2-3, and Martha & the Vandellas on Sept. 5th. Art by Wes Wilson. Printed on thin, delicate paper, so many of these didn't survive the sixties. Measures approx. 13 3/8" X 21". Condition-Excellent-Has a piece of tape in each corner as well as near the ticket outlets. A tear on the left about two inches up from the bottom. Corner bend in the lower left. A curl from being rolled. Presents quite well.
