AUCTION - AOR Pg. 79R - Psychedelic Shop - Rick Griffin - 1967 Poster - Excellent

This is considered to be Rick Griffin's first "Hippie" Psychedelic poster from January 3, 1967. It was created for the first anniversary of the Psychedelic Shop. In addition to selling posters, books, and more, the Psychedelic Shop served as an important meeting place and the office for the underground newspaper, Oracle. Rick Griffin's bold style and amazing lettering impressed everyone. Each line of lettering, from top to bottom, is different and impressive. This is a genuine first print with the union logo in the bottom right and the Bindweed Press credit near the bottom left. This poster is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 79 on the right side. It measures approximately 14" x 20". The condition is excellent, although it has some handling, a light bend in the middle, and a small tape stain on the reverse
