AUCTION - AOR 4.273 - The Rolling Stones - 1973 Poster - Cardiff Castle, Wales - Excellent

An original, first printing, large-format Rolling Stones concert poster promoting a show in Cardiff, Wales, England, on Saturday, September 22, 1973. This famous and popular poster depicts a dragon with the Stones' lips-and-tongue logo as its mouth; credit artist Kate Burness.

The original poster was printed in the summer of 1973 to sell tickets for the show, which was eventually cancelled, and most of the posters were destroyed. It's one of the greatest Stones concert posters, if not the greatest.  Pictured in the Art of Rock book on page 417, plate 4.273. 

Condition - Excellent - Has had restoration to repair pinholes, tears, wrinkles. 2 small tape pulls on reverse.  Measures 20" x 29 5/8".
