AUCTION - AOR 4.147 - The Rolling Stones - Singer/Satty - 1973 Poster - Honolulu, HI - Near Mint Minus
We are thrilled to present this original, first-printing concert poster commemorating the Rolling Stones’ historic performances at the Honolulu International Center on January 21–22, 1973. This event holds a unique place in rock history; at the personal request of Mick Jagger, the then-fledgling Texas band ZZ Top served as the opening act for all three shows, reportedly earning encores each night—a pivotal confidence-booster for Billy Gibbons and his bandmates, even though they do not appear on the poster artwork. Designed by the visionary duo of David Singer and Wilfred Satty, this piece is a striking example of 1970s concert graphic art.
Measuring 20 1/4" x 28 1/2", the poster is in Near Mint Minus condition, showing only light handling. A rare artifact for any serious Rolling Stones enthusiast.
