AUCTION - AOR 2.216 - Human Be-In - Grateful Dead Timothy Leary - 1967 Green Handbill - Near Mint

Rare alternate handbill for the Gathering of the Tribes for a Human Be-In. This was the event that launched the Summer of Love. This free concert was held
in Golden Gate Park on January 14, 1967. There were speakers and Poets speaking in between the bands performing. Some of those were Allen Ginsberg, Timothy Leary, Gary Snyder, Jerry Rubin, Dick Gregory and others. The bands included the Grateful Dead, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Big Brother & the Holding Co. featuring Janis Joplin and  more. This alternate version (that has a map) does not have the faces pictured on page 197 plate 2.216 in the Art of Rock book.
No poster was made with this image. Measures approx. 8 1/2" X 11". Condition-Near Mint with only a light bit of handling. Beautiful.
