Here is a classic Grateful Dead poster featuring psychedelic artwork by Mari Tepper. This poster was for a benefit concert for marijuana defense, held at the Winterland Arena in San Francisco, California, on October 22, 1967. The lineup also included Quicksilver Messenger Service and Big Brother and the Holding Company, with Janis Joplin on vocals. All three bands were among the top acts of 1967 and had shared the stage at the Monterey Pop Festival just four months earlier. This poster is featured in "The Art of Rock" book on page 193, plate 2.205. It measures 13¾" x 20¼" and is in excellent condition with pinholes and handling in all corners, a single pinhole located at both the top center and bottom center and toning and moisture rippling on the back.
