AUCTION - AOR 2.160 - Grateful Dead - "Memorial" - Alton Kelley - 1968 Poster - Excellent

Offered here is an authentic first-printing concert poster for the Grateful Dead, Charlie Musselwhite, and Petris. This historic piece advertises a three-day engagement held over Memorial Day weekend at the iconic Carousel Ballroom (later known as the Fillmore West) on May 30, May 31, and June 1, 1968.

Designed by Alton Kelley, this poster serves as a quintessential example of the psychedelic aesthetic synonymous with the era. It measures approximately 13 7/8" x 22 1/4" and is in excellent condition, showing only light horizontal handling bends and minor bends at the upper and bottom left. There are two small pieces of archival framer's tape present on the verso. This is an exceptional opportunity to acquire a well-preserved piece of San Francisco rock history.
