This extremely psychedelic poster is for a pair of shows put on by Ramlala presents in San Francisco, CA. They had Big Brother and the Holding Company featuring Janis Joplin, Quicksilver Messenger Service, and Country Joe and the Fish (each taking one day's opening slot). Held on June 2-3, 1967 (a scant two weeks before Monterey Pop) at the California Hall in San Francisco. The intense artwork is by Michael Wood/Pyxis Studios. A great little button at the bottom, which says "Press to Test". Not to mention the extremely bizarre guy in the middle. A really early piece from a legendary venue. Featured in the Art of Rock book on page 178, plate 2.158. This original concert poster measures 13 7/8" x 19 10/16". This wild piece is in Excellent condition, having been rolled, resulting in stress lines, light handling, and some discoloration on reverse. No tack holes, never put up. A classic poster to kick off the Summer of Love.
