AUCTION - AOR 2.297 - The Byrds - 1967 Variant Handbill - San Leandro CA Rollarena - Near Mint Minus

This is a classic early concert handbill for the Byrds, showcasing their performance at the Rollarena in San Leandro, CA. The lineup also includes the Baytovens, and Peter Wheat & the Breadmen. The date of the event is October 21, 1967. This specific handbill is a rare black and white variant as opposed to the more commonly seen pale orange version. It is featured in the Art of Rock book on page 220 plate 2.297. Designed by Don Ryder, the handbill measures 8 1/2" x 11" and is in near mint minus condition, with minor handling and a slight bend on the lower right corner. This black and white variant is possibly unique, as it is the only one we have ever come across.
