Offered here is an original handbill from one of the most defining moments of the 1960s counterculture: the "Pow-Wow: A Gathering of the Tribes for a Human Be-In." Held in Golden Gate Park on January 14, 1967, this landmark all-day event served as a cultural touchstone, featuring an array of speakers, poets, and iconic local bands, including the Grateful Dead, Quicksilver Messenger Service, and The Charlatans.

This rare handbill—which was the only format produced for this image—is documented in the *Art of Rock* book on page 197, plate 2.216. Featuring striking artwork by Michael Bowen, it measures approximately 8 1/2" x 11". The piece is in Excellent condition, showing only a minor corner bend in the upper left and a few light handling marks. A fantastic and historically significant artifact from the heart of the San Francisco scene.
