One of the all-time great images associated with the Grateful Dead. This is the iconic Blue Rose designed by Stanley Mouse and Alton Kelley. This was New Year's Eve Dec 31, 1978, and the last show held at Winterland. The opening acts included the Blues Brothers (direct from Saturday Night Live) and New Riders of the Purple Sage. As noted near the bottom, Breakfast Served at Dawn. The poster is prominently displayed in the Art of Rock as plate 4.38. Stanley Mouse has signed the poster in silver sharpie. Real nice. This uncut poster measures 23 1/4" x 29" and is in good condition with handling, toning and bends. The Blue Rose is to the Grateful Dead as is the Skeleton & Roses!
