Here is a truly unique red variant poster for the Sir Douglas Quintet at the Avalon Ballroom. The original poster had a small original print run of 1,000 copies and is hard to find in top condition today, but this is the 1st time we have offered this red variant. Known as “Keep California Green,” the originals were deliberately printed out of registration to simulate the visual effects of LSD. The central image of Smokey the Bear has been redrawn so that his belt buckle reads “SMOKE!”. Stanley Mouse has signed the poster in pencil in his traditional running mouse style. The condition is rough and is missing a significant amount of paper in the upper right corner, toning, and handling as you can see, but the poster is unique!
