AUCTION - AOR 2.183 - Grateful Dead - Trip or Freak - Mouse,Kelley & Griffin - 1967 Poster - Winterland - Near Mint

This is an incredibly rare, original first print of the "Trip or Freak" poster. Featuring the Grateful Dead, Quicksilver Messenger Service, and Big Brother and the Holding Co. with Janis Joplin, this poster commemorates a Halloween concert held at the Winterland Arena in 1967. Created by Stanley Mouse, Alton Kelley, and Rick Griffin, this piece captures the wild energy of the era. It's rumored that thousands of attendees were under the influence of LSD that night. The poster is featured in "The Art of Rock" book, page 185, plate 2.183.

 Its size 14 5/16" X 26 5/16" contributes to its rarity, and it's in near-mint condition, with only a slight curl from being rolled. It has never been displayed, and there are no pinholes or tape. Truly a stunning piece.
