AUCTION - Two-Sided 1967 - Wedding Invitation - Wes Wilson Signed - Excellent

This rather unusual piece up for auction is a wedding invitation from 1967, done by poster artist Wes Wilson. David Swanston and Walterene Jackson (great names!) Were set to tie the knot just before Christmas at the Hamilton Methodist Church in Haight-Ashbury. A two-sided invitation, one side features a cool Yin/Yang Mandala type design next to male and female gender signs and the wedding particulars. On the reverse is a highly psychedelic, pure Wes Wilson, drawing of a couple. Amazing Pacific Northwest-type design, with his initials and the year cleverly hidden within as well. Even cooler still, the left side shows the full Wes Wilson 1967 block design signature, underneath which Wilson has hand-signed this wedding invitation in pencil. This invitation measures 10 7/16" x 14 13/16" and is in Excellent condition, with handling.
