AUCTION - Spirit Hourglass - 1968 Poster - Blue Law (The Bank) - Excellent

Offered for auction is a poster from Southern California. Torrance, to be precise. The shows being promoted are billed as a "Survival Benefit" for a venue called Blue Law (later known as The Bank). The show dates were May 17-19, 1968. The sheer number of bands listed is practically overwhelming. Strawberry Alarm Clock, Quicksilver Messenger Service, Spirit, Hourglass (featuring Gregg and Duane Allman), Albert King, Mothers of Invention and. P. Lovecraft, just to name a few notables. The uncredited artwork is printed by Kitty Hawk graphics. Interestingly, there is a disclaimer of sorts on this poster, letting everybody know that the bands will play on the days they are available. The wildly unusual arrangement, for sure. This very cool and obscure Southern California poster measures 16 1/2" x 22 1/2", approximately. The piece is in Excellent condition. Comes rolled, has handling and edge wear associated with having been rolled, and some small writing on the reverse in ballpoint and pencil. Very scarce poster from an obscure venue in Torrance, CA.
