AUCTION - Neon Rose 13 - Grateful Dead Variant - 1967 Poster - Excellent

This interesting piece of poster history is a variant of the 13 Neon Rose 13 by Victor Moscoso. Number 13 Neon rose was originally for a theatrical performance held in Stockton, CA. in 1970. Pretty obscure, to say the least. Fast forward to the late 1970s and a stack of these unsold Neon Rose 13 posters were languishing in a San Francisco merchant's storeroom when he decided to try something different to get the posters moving out the door. An additional silkscreen was added to the piece at the bottom half, which reads "99 out of 100 heads agree there is nothing like a Grateful Dead concert". Voila, an instantly desirable poster for sale, some dozen years after the original printing. This variant of Neon Rose #13 measures 14" x 20", approximately. The poster is in Excellent condition, with some corner wear and handling. This variant has become increasingly desirable over time. Time to get yours.
