AUCTION - Fluxfest - SF Mime Troupe - Quicksilver - Ida Griffin - Longshoremen's Hall - 1967 Poster - Near Mint Minus

AUCTION - Fluxfest - SF Mime Troupe - Quicksilver - Ida Griffin - Longshoremen's Hall - 1967 Poster - Near Mint Minus
Offered for auction is a poster for Fluxfest, a one-night-only event that took place at Longshoremen's Hall in San Francisco, CA, on March 31, 1967. The show featured the SF Mime Troupe, the Flux Orchestra, Quicksilver Messenger Service, a light show, films, and "A Strange Evening of Experimental Events."
The stunning artwork is by Ida Griffin, the widow of Rick Griffin, who was a formidable talent in her own right. This poster holds historical significance as it represents the intersection of the Fluxus art movement and the 1960s hippie counterculture.
The poster measures approximately 13 1/2" x 18 1/4". Notably, there is an upside-down misprint of the yellow color from the poster on the reverse side, although this is not visible from the front. The condition is near mint minus.
