AUCTION - FD-57 - The Doors - Unused 1967 Ticket & Postcard - Near Mint
AUCTION - FD-57 - The Doors - Unused 1967 Ticket & Postcard - Near Mint
This super rare lot consists of a postcard and an unused ticket for a Family Dog (FD-57) show at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, CA. Here we have none other than the Doors, Steve Miller Blues Band, and Haji Babi performing on April 14–15, 1967. This is just before "Light My Fire" took over the airwaves and the Doors played the Avalon three times in a short span. This piece is FD–57 in the Family Dog series. The artwork is by the great Victor Moscoso. Unused Family Dog tickets are extremely rare, due to the Family Dog policy of taking, tearing, and tossing the show tickets. An unused Doors ticket is another order of magnitude altogether. This one measures 2 1/2" x 5", while the accompanying postcard measures 5" x 7". The postcard has "Place Stamp Here" printed on the reverse. Both the unused postcard and the unused FD–57 ticket are in Near Mint condition.
