AUCTION - Chuck Sperry - Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds - San Francisco '08 - 1st Edition Silkscreen - Excellent

This is an interesting poster as it presaged Chuck Sperry’s rise to silkscreen dominance in 2009. Chuck created this poster for Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds 2008 show at the Warfield in San Francisco, California. The poster is printed on a coated, semi-gloss stock marking the last time Chuck would print on this stock, as in 2009 he shifted to a flat archival stock which absorbs the inks quite differently. This is the 1st edition of 250. The poster measures 26” x 23”. It has been signed and numbered by Chuck and is in excellent condition with edge wear along the top, corner bends on the top right and bottom left and a small stain (hard to see) in the bottom center.
