AUCTION - BG-37 - Grateful Dead - New Years - 1966/67 Poster - Fillmore Auditorium - Near Mint Minus
AUCTION - BG-37 - Grateful Dead - New Years - 1966/67 Poster - Fillmore Auditorium - Near Mint Minus
Offered here is an original concert poster from the Fillmore poster series. This one is known as BG 37 and is the first New Years' Eve concert held by promoter Bill Graham at the Fillmore Auditorium. The dates were December 30-31, 1966. The bands are the Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, and Quicksilver Messenger Service. The best part is it says near the bottom "With Breakfast $5.00". Apparently, they expected you to party until dawn! Design by Wes Wilson.
Measures approx.14 1/8" X 24 5/8". Condition-Near Mint Minus. Light corner bends in the upper left and lower right. Light edgewear. Never put up. Most all BG 37's have either a really rough top edge or bottom edge, sometimes both because of their length and tendency to stick out of a pile of standard-sized posters that usually measured 14" X 20". This example is very clean. RARE!
