AUCTION - BG-247 - Alton Kelley Signed - 1970 Poster - Fillmore West - Excellent

Here we have a fabulous original concert poster from the Bill Graham Series. This is BG-247 by artist Alton Kelley. The poster promotes four different engagements at the Fillmore West in downtown San Francisco, CA. Headliners like Iron Butterfly, Savoy Brown, Johnny Winter, and Joni Mitchell were backed up by fantastic talent: Herbie Hancock, Fairport Convention, Freddie King, and a lot more. Intense alien alphabet across the top, with a wild white line drawing on a black background and a great photo to round it all out. Larger than most Fillmore posters and proud of it, Kelley makes maximum use of the size, a full 22" x 28 1/8", approximately. The show dates were between late August and early September 1970. As a bonus, Alton Kelley has hand signed this piece in gold pen boldly at the bottom right. This original concert poster, BG 247, is in Excellent condition, with light handling and light corner wear, due mainly to its size and having been autographed.
